If you have an idea that you want to turn into an event, even if it's incomplete, toss it here! We love to see what you guys come up with, and while there may be some tweaks here and there, we may very well use it! We will credit the player when said event comes up.

Event Idea:

okay so given that rufus has apparently taken it upon himself to make some party in an attempt to figure out what the hell is going on around here....and totally failed.... i'd be down to turn this into some part of an event! especially for next month, it could be a welcome party/halloween party combination, in the place that was indicated by the royal We, and a nice mingle-event for everyone to come together into one place (whether that would end up for better or for worse...). could even incorporate a costume party element? which could be the source of all kinds of terrible things, like masks being fused to faces or the wearer becoming whatever the costume dictates, things like that... (just to throw out some super lame ideas!)

i would be happy to write up a blurb about decorations or food/drink provided or any of that, if necessary, but i'm also okay with you guys doing what you will and just stamping rufus's name on it! i don't want to get in the way of any planning or other events etc and would be happy to just go with the flow and call it rufus's strange barn party, hehe. i'm very flexible, i just wanted to toss it out there as a possibility.

When:

next month would probably be ideal but if there are already a lot of plans in place, i obviously have no set time limit or anything like that. whenever it would fit in would be great!

This actually would work out quite well for the next month! We'll be sure to advertise Rufus' party in the plotting comment.

The event will be a low key one going in the background, giving plenty of time for the party. We had planned to provide costumes already, but if you want to add masks or anything similar- there could be a mood changing punch, glitter bombs, or whatever you'd like!

We'll let you write it up. You can put Rufus' stamp all over the party and party barn!

Just let us know what date (or dates) you want Rufus to host the party, and if he would like any staff to assist him.

The npcs will be more or less shadow people of various sizes, incapable of rendering violence. But dang do they play a good tune.

thank you so much for your quick reply!! ♥ i'm really happy that this will kind of work perfectly, and i really like your ideas so i will happily be incorporating them in! i'll leave costumes out of it entirely but may have it be a mask-required-to-get-in type of event just for fun.

i'm thinking mood-changing punch, trick-or-treat glitter/plastic bug/colored smoke bombs, DEFINITELY live music and a dance floor, maybe some silly party games like bobbing for apples or fortune telling...

date-wise, perhaps having him host it on october 10th, just so that people have time to play before the tdm goes up the following week! in game, obviously it would be from late afternoon until...well, i guess the early morning hours, whenever people decide to leave.

staff would be lovely - if anyone wants to volunteer to help decorate prior to the party, be in charge of any games (their own ideas welcome too), or volunteer to be part of the band, that might be fun! otherwise rufus will gladly utilize free labor shadow people npcs. i'll keep an eye on the plotting post and keep track of any volunteers to include them in the write up!

just to be sure, so it's okay if i just write up the post myself, with setting and description of all the party events, and post it on the 10th? also a good question in regards to that, is there anything else i should know about the area where the party will take place? just like a big, open barn is okay? easy for the little wickies to find their way to?

Loving your ideas for what could be used! People may not be a big fan of the bobbing for apples but- you'll find out later as to why. Fortune telling would be very fun too!

We've label it Rufus's welcome party for now!

Volunteers sound good! That'll give people more options, and I'm sure there will be at least a few wanting to help out in one way or another for the party.

But to confirm: yes, you're all clear in writing the post itself, including descriptions and whatnot! If you want to add photos, great! We welcome the creativity. You can have it as an actual barn, a building that Rufus would be comfortable in, heck, even those white party tents you see sometimes! You can even have moving spotlights that will help Wickies find their way inside!

The food can even be customized to what he likes to serve- as in, there can be food that comes directly from his world, as well as various staples that can be found at Fruits Basket.

Heck, there could be little tarts that start off as flower buds and bloom in your mouth if that's what he would include ICly! There's a reason why there's so many forms. Admin gave Rufus a lot of options.

ahhh awesome, okay!! this gives a lot of different options and will make it so much fun to plan and write out. i'll definitely go as creative as possible. he'll spend all his time pouring over all the forms to find all the good stuff to include, of course...

i'll plan everything out and get the post up on the 10th! (i'm in kst, so likely it will end up posted in the evening of the 10th for asian timezones, and in the morning/afternoon of the 10th for the other side of the world.) i'll pop a link up here in reply to this thread as well, and if there's anything you recommend changing or anything i will be happy to revise.

Characters Involved: cloud strife, rufus shinra, sephiroth no-last-name
The Idea: the anniversary of the ~nibelheim incident~ is coming up (october 1), and this being what one would argue to be the catalyst for many of the bigger things that took place in the ff7 (+compilation) storyline, we were thinking of maybe something spooky happening to these three guys as if to say they aren't allowed to escape, forget, or try to change what has happened (or will come to pass).

Extra Details: it doesn't have to be anything huge, and we're open to tweaking and/or whatever suggestions fit best with the game. we've discussed something along the lines of maybe a burning building that they're all stuck in, but the building is a metaphor? maybe like a shared nightmare. and in order for them to escape it they have to give something up — that something being a truth, a regret, a fear, or some other thing in that vein. some mental/hallucinatory aspects would be appreciated, perhaps in the sense that horrifying things from their mind could be pushed outwards? like jenova or the whispers. it'll be a great bonding experience.

When: october 1

Oh, absolutely.

May we suggest that the building they wake up in be off from the lighthouse, filled with fog and patches of it on fire- enough that they need to leave, but not enough that they will not go up in flames right then and there. There's no front door, and in order to leave they have to go further and further down.

While there is some Jenova sightings (including what may be parts of it growing into and spreading over the wall) and whispers in and out, we also suggest tailoring the experience a bit, which will eventually be seen by all three.

For Sephiroth, the floors seem to be made of frosted glass and the walls are two way mirrors- and he can notice that they are, just barely. Creatures he may encounter will somehow remind him of Hojo, though they look nothing like the man; they're hunched, drooling, and tend to rub their hands and arms together, much like flies.

For Rufus, the walls and floors will seem much like his childhood home, but with a difference: each step he makes leaves an inky footprint behind, and a sensation of dread- at first unknown, but soon discovered of creatures that follow in his foot steps. They're not quite his father, but they are tall, large eyed, and sneering, no matter what move he makes.

For Cloud, the walls and floors seem to glitch, a little. He never seems to be in a single place at once; it flickers, from somewhere run by machinery, to the slums, to a lab, to a tunnel, changing with nearly every step. Creatures here will be oozing, wearing a replica of what he wears, and sprouting intense green eyes and one useless molting wing, always trying to pull him up, or down.

It will be only when they work together that things seem to stabilize, revealing seemingly deep underground that it is a smoky house unrelated to any of them. What they give up is up to them, but that's the only way they'll be able to find the tunnel that leads them back to the surface- and once all of them are out, the house vanishes.

We hope this suggestion works for you!

oh, man. this is everything and more than what we ever imagined. it works more than perfectly!

just a few questions and i think we'll be set: can they get hurt during this whole ordeal? like, getting burnt from the fire or cloud's constant getting pulled up and down (POOR CLOUD LMAO). and if so, will those injuries and the pain remain with them after they manage to escape?

Oh for sure! If you want, they could get hurt REAL BAD.

But also if you wanted their injuries to seemingly speed up as if they've had them for days or weeks when they leave, that's fine too!

hello again! i ended up just preparing a draft of the write up for now, so if you have the time and would like to give it a look to see if anything should be changed, that would be lovely. i just want to make sure i'm not taking too many liberties or messing anything up for you!

The Idea Media Library/Anime BlockBuster!

A building in Town Center has been converted into a library of sorts. Right now, it only contains a massive collection of anime DVDs, but donations of other media are welcome. Thanks to Papyrus, the DVDs are nicely organized on shelves by genre and then by other category.

Characters are free to browse the collection and borrow anything. They're only asked to fill out a check-out sheet that's attached to a clipboard near the entrance and return the stuff when they're done (but lbr enforcement of this is pretty minimal for now and works mostly on the honor system. Jun would only hunt down GRAVE offenders). Obviously all the anime are boot-leg versions of different anime shows (or anime series that exists in people's canons). Check out here for different ideas or to submit your own.

In addition to the DVD collection, there's different posters of information about how to use a DVD player (with pictures!), recommendations for shows to watch, etc. There's also a large tv with couches/chairs for people to have movie nights there, along with a kitchenette area stocks with theater-type snacks that Jun occasionally refills.

The Idea
basically wu xie is going to use his skills for design to copy the workings of a typical handgun and bullets and put them in the 'gun' store to make things normalized there. nothing too crazy, nothing too dramatic just a simple gun and such
When it starts he got the designs from mando and ig after they put a couple together in front of him. he also made a network post about the blueprints. hopefully both works ok for this

Both of them would work all right from this! There's going to be a higher chance, with the awareness of how guns work.

It might take a month or so more to make many of the guns and bullets desired, but informing people and having them agree will increase the progress rate!

You can always make other network posts or even a log on gun creation as well as bullets.

Player: Kyah
Characters Involved: Nero and uhhhHHHHHH prooobably 6 at max? He'll probably decide against a big-ass group once he really looks over the lighthouse. I'll give a heads up when I figure out who's going.
The Idea: Nero got asked to fix the lighthouse and then post about fixing it on the network, so that's what he's gonna do!
Extra Details: Basically, feel free to give me any more info you think I may need in terms of what to tell people in a log, otherwise I think I asked everything already on the FAQ.
When: Sometime next month! Bc clearly we need spooky traumatizing shit in addition to whatever is planned for November.

Sounds like a good start! they will need to do some rolls to see if/what attacks them when they wander away from Nero, if they've done some exploring in the past, etc! Depending on what it is, they may have to roll twice and take the worst result.

This could risk possession, injury, and death depending on what their limits are!

Also if it's going to be a day trip, if they're planning to stay overnight, or if it'll be a few days where they go back to their houses, that sort of thing.

The dates would be good as well, as the 10-12 will be taking up the event!

PERFECT this is gonna end horrifically and..... make Nero feel like garbage, MORE GUILT AHOY.

I will update/give info when I receive it, it'll probably be later in the month depending on what the event is.

Characters Involved: IG-11, Falco Grice

The Idea: In exchange for the terminal adapter that IG-11 has requested to plug directly into his computer, Doll has asked the droid to prepare at least thirty healthy meals for other people. They didn't say all the meals had to be prepared at once, but IG-11 is nothing if not efficient. Once he learns what Thanksgiving is (likely through Falco), the pair will spend some time refining their cooking skills before preparing a Thanksgiving feast for all who wish to participate.

Extra Details: This is open to tweaking depending on how game plots shake out for the month of November - and if it doesn't really fit what's already been planned, then no worries.

When: Thanksgiving itself!

The date works out fine! We would suggest that IG-11 or Falco or both does a network call before, maybe see about making it a potlock!

Is there any particular place that they'd like to hold the dinner?

That works! I cleared it with IG-11’s housemates - the dinner would be held at Descent Cottage!
